July 25th & 26th: Oxbow Tote



Join us on Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, July 26th to create the stylish and functional Oxbow Tote by Noodlehead. This versatile bag features a roomy interior, sturdy handles, and a modern design that's perfect for everyday use. 

Skill Level:
Skilled Beginner - Intermediate with experience in bag making.

Class Duration:
Saturday, July 25th, 11am - 3pm
Sunday, July 26th, 11am - 3pm

Pre-Work:
There is some pre-work required for this class. It must be done prior to class, so we can maximize time!


The Sewing Box Quilt Shop will be happy to assist you with all materials. 
*Note from instructor:  The pattern calls for 1” D rings.  For the Overnight size, I chose to use 1.5” D rings and used the 1.5” webbing for the handles and the crossbody strap.  If purchasing hardware from the Sewing Box Quilt Shop, let them know what sizes and finishes for the hardware you want at least 3 weeks before class. We will be making the overnight size in class!



SUPPLY LIST:

  • Pattern and all pre-cut fabrics and materials as listed in the pattern (for overnight size)
  • Thread to match your fabrics 
  • Sewing machine and attachments
  • Quarter inch foot and zipper foot if you choose (You will be sewing ¼” and ½” seams)
  • Rotary cutter and ruler(s)
  • Needles:  Recommend Size 90/14 needles (Suggest Microtex/Sharp)
  • Basic sewing tools including filled bobbins, fabric scissors, seam ripper, straight pins, etc.
  • Clips
  • Stiletto (highly recommended)
  • Double-sided basting tape (1/8”) or glue stick
  • Pinking shears (optional)
  • Removeable fabric marker(s) of your choice
